Maybe I'm not being as disciplined as I could be in my efforts to reduce the stash, but I am making some progress. Last Sunday Loop had a yarn swap and I took my wheelie suitcase along full of wool. There were two tables: one for selling and one for donating/swapping. I did a bit of both, but mostly sold. I made £50 or £60! (forgot to keep a tally) and was pleased to see wool going to new homes. I only brought a couple of lots back home (and only three little new lots of sock yarn). While at Loop I saw their lovely Babette Blanket made out of sock yarn. I think Jill and Dawn have also admired it! Well, wouldn't you know it - it's now the third blanket I'm making out of stash!

The instructions for making the square in the pattern are mad. If you go to my Ravelry page (brigidhj) you'll see I've written out how I've done it (partly following Jane Eaton)

I am collecting yarns for it - waiting for Dawn to sort out instructions so she can tell me...

Told you! I am going to do one in baby cashmerino, so it's a little bigger. I need to decipher the instructions first! I did do a sample square a few years ago..
