'and April showers bring forth May's flowers' . Actually it's quite windy today and although it's only April there are plenty of flowers on show. A few years ago I grew primulas from a mixed seed packet. Now they seed themselves around and pop up in unexpected places. Here's a mixed patch that looked very fresh and pretty in this morning's sun.
I love double primroses and this one has done quite well for two or three years. I can't remember its name, but it's something like 'sunrise' or 'sunset'. The dark purple leaves are Lysimachia ciliata 'Firecracker'.
The hellebores that I posted about earlier in the year here have been brilliant. Here's a particularly fine plant.
